I started making gloves in 2001, because what I saw in the stores seemed dull. I wanted to make fashion-forward fingerless gloves to be worn as style statements. It was never about winter gloves and keeping hands warm, although lately I've been experimenting with fingers, so this might be something for the future.
I continue to design and make most of the Glovedup gloves you'll see on this website. I've made hundreds of pairs of gloves; I stopped counting at 1500, and that was quite a while ago.
Commissions from designers like Diesel, Heatherette, Robert Cary Williams, and Victim, pop stars like Peaches and Madonna, and an increasing list of stylists and fashion editors, stimulate an ever-evolving collection.
Whilst gloves remain the focus, other accessories creep into my collections. Most recently I've been doing lots of crochet with recycled plastic bags, you can see some of my creations in the Gallery.
My identity isn't exactly secret, but I prefer Agent Anonym to my real name. My studio is in central London, and visitors are always welcome, but please do make an appointment before you come.
